Located between Santa Pola and Torrevieja, Guardamar is approximately a 45-minute drive from Alicante International Airport. The resort town has been developed directly along the beach, and inland towns and villages are easily accessible via an excellent local road network.

Guardamar is a growing tourist resort and is one of the most important destinations on the Southern Costa Blanca. It has not yet become heavily commercialized like other tourist resorts in the area, allowing it to retain much of its traditional Spanish charm.
